Visiting the site
- Hosting. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs the IP address of every visitor for security purposes (GitHub Pages: data collection).
- Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and sends Google information such as the pages you view, your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can block it in your browser’s privacy settings or with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Theme preference. If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so it is remembered next time. It is not sent anywhere.
Contact form
When you use the contact form, the name, email address, subject and message you enter are sent to Formspree, which stores them and forwards them by email. They are used only to reply to your enquiry. You can email instead if you prefer.
The form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which collects information about your browser and how you use the page to check that you are not a bot. Its use is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
